Can walkers participate?
You betcha! This is an event for runners and walkers of all abilities. Please Note: all participants must complete the half marathon within a 5 hour course time limit. Course support will close at 1:00pm.
Can I bring my dog to run/walk with me?
Although we love furry friends, we ask that your four-legged running companion stay home to due to safety reasons.
Are strollers/baby joggers allowed on the course?
Jogging strollers will be allowed, however those runners pushing a jogging stroller MUST line up at the back of the pack as a courtesy for fellow participants.
Is there an age requirement to participate?
You must be 12 years old prior to race day to participate in the Half Marathon. There is no age limit to the 5K.
Will runners and walkers receive a medal?
All finishers of the Half Marathon will receive a finisher medal. Awards will also be given to the top 3 finishers in each male and female age divisions in the half marathon. The top 4 finishers in each male and female age division in the 10K & 5K will get a medal.
How can I Volunteer?
We rely heavily on volunteers to make this event run in true Texas style. We need hundreds of volunteers to work Packet Pickup, staff the aid stations, holler along the course and to offer support to the runners and walkers at the start and finish. Will wheelchair athletes be allowed?
There is not a separate wheelchair division. If you are a wheelchair athlete, please contact Mitch@iruntexas.net for more information.
How do I register for the Outlaw Half Marathon, 10K & 5K?
Online registration is at SignMeUp.
The Post-race celebration looks like fun, but I can’t run or walk the race. Can I still take part in the Post-race celebration?
You betcha. For spectators and supporters who want to eat and drink, a Pardner Pass can be purchased online at SignMeUp. Pardner Passes will also be available on race day while supplies last. You can pick up your Pardner Pass wristbands at the race under the Pardner Pass tent. 100% of the Pardner Pass fee goes directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Where do I park?
Luckenbach loves a crowd and parking is available within walking distance to the start/finish line.
What if there is inclement weather?
The race will go on as scheduled even if the weather ain’t good - in rain or shine, sleet or snow. Outlaws run even if the creeks a’risin’. Only in the event of severe weather conditions will we cancel the race (No refunds due to weather).
We will not postpone the race due to inclement weather. Please check your weather forecast prior to race day and plan accordingly.
What if I want to pick up my packet early but do not live in San Antonio?
A mail out option is available for $20 when you register online. You must register online for this option by Friday, March 15, 2019. All unclaimed packets will be available on race day beginning at 6:00am.
Will there be a bag drop?
No, fortunately parking is within walking distance to the event, so we will not offer a bag drop.
Will all runners receive a finisher medal?
No, only the half marathon finisher will receive a medal. You must complete the full 13.1 miles to receive your finisher medal. But the fastest 4 guys and gals through the chute in each 5-year age group for the 10K & 5K will get an award medal.
Will everyone who registers (even on race day) get a race shirt?
Maybe. The only way to be guaranteed a tee shirt is to register before March 1.
My plans have changed and I cannot attend the race, can I still get my t-shirt and swag?
Yes, you can pick up your t-shirt and swag bag after the race at an iRun store location or have your packet mailed for $20 through the mail out option online.
I registered for one of the shorter distances, but I would like to run a longer distance instead, can I switch?
Yes, you can make changes at the race but will be required to pay the difference. Please see the registration table at packet pickup or on race mornin’to make changes.

Yes, you can make changes at the race or at packet pickup. See registration table to make changes on race mornin’. Sorry, we do not offer refunds for the price differences.
I registered for the 5K/10K//Half Marathon, but my plans changed. Can I transfer my bib to another runner?
No, sorry due to liability issues, we will not allow bib transfer. NO EXCEPTIONS, ‘ya hear! No refunds or transfers.
What happens if I get injured and can’t run my race?
Race entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. There are no refunds or canceled entries.
Are headphones, iPODS/MP3 players allowed on the course?
You may wear your headphones, iPODS or MP3 players, however we ask that you keep the volume at a reasonable level for your own safety and out of courtesy for fellow participants.
Help Desk and Lost & Found
A help desk will be available to assist you with any race day questions and help you find your way. The help desk will also serve as the race day Lost & Found booth.
Mylaps Electronic Timing
This event will be staged and timed by Split Second Productions. We'll use Mylaps bibtags. No more tag on your shoe. It's built into your bib.
